How can I tell if the selenoid is gone? Or what else could be the problem? In the last week I had to start using the pull cord to start her, could not start electrically.

w/ the key on jump the 2 big termials on the solnoide and if turns the starter over then its bad. if it just clicks like using the key/push button, then the battery or the starter is the issue.

could also be the ignition switch, when you turn to the start position it might not make contact inside of the switch, if you have a turn key start switch. i have seen this a couple of times.
