Default Phoenix Battery Drain

I have a '06 Phoenix 200. For some reason the battery decided to suddenly drain. I thought that the battery was bad so I replaced it. It worked for a few times then the battery went dead again. I've checked all of the wires and they all look good with no breaks. I know about the mechanical aspect, but I'm not completely sure about the electrical system. I've always dealt with cars, I don't even know if it has a battery charging system. All info will be greatly appreciated.

Using a voltmeter put one lead on the negative battery post and the other on the negative batter cable end with the end off the battery. It'll show you the volts being drawn by the drain. Pull your fuses one by one until the volts drops off. Find out what that fuse runs and that should tell you where the drain is coming from. Before you start all that though check the voltage at the battery with the bike running to make sure it's charging. lol

It should be 13.5 or 13.8, something like that, just like a car when it charges.

I did the voltage drain test with it shut off and the tester between the terminal and the cable. No drain with the voltage regulator disconnected, total drain with it hooked up. Does that mean the regulator is shot? If so, about how much do they go for?

Also, charging at half throttle, it's only reading about 7 volts. Could I just get away with just hooking up a trickle charger for the time being without hurting anything else until I get the money together for whatever parts I need in the mean time?
