secondary spring set up
i just installed a dalton black and white spring on the drive clutch and a dalton black white silver on the secondary and set it at 2-2 will this change the top end speed? or is their a better setting ? is their another setting that you can set it at and be able to nail the gas and it comes out of the hole faster? i have it installed on a 01 scrambler 500 4x4 i ride trails water and some mud (not to soupy) it revs higher before the clutches grab is this normal ? thanks for all replys

secondary spring set up
the primary spring (as well as the weights) stiffeness controls how high the engine revs until engagement. the stiffer the spring the more rmps it takes to over ride the weights to engage the clutch. now the secondary controls shift in and out. if you want to get there (top end)faster you need to have the spring tighter which will hold r's a little longer but will get there quicker. but by doing this you can loose top end. the reverse is true if you make it softer as you would loose low end torque. best thing to do is try it one way and if you dont like it just put it in another hole. imo.
