burned by the predator
Ha ha. Long story behind what the problem with that idea is. I was considering that exact idea last summer. I used to have an 06 Raptor 350. I let her drive it a bit on the country roads to get used to the handling and controls. The first time I sat on the back and let her drive, she drove it off a train bridge that we went across the river to get to another set of trails. she cracked two ribs, and I cracked two bone stems on my lower vertibrea. The raptor was totalled, and that's how I got my predator last november.

Hey that's a good idea....wrap your legs in aluminum foil! LOL!
Seriously, though, I do recall seeing this on more than one atv to deflect heat. It wouldn't solve your problem with your leg, but would keep the fenders from warping. I don't recall the stock pipes ever getting that hot. At any rate, try riding farther back when you wear shorts or just wear pants! (or aluminum foil!)
