New touring 500 overheating
We just picked up our new 500 Touring and took it out for the weekend. After about 10 minutes the engine HOT came up, so I let it sit for 20 mins. Got on it again around the campsite same thing. The fan will not come on. Even letting it idle in the backyard same thing. I live in a fairly remote part of B.C, where no dealers are around, also I now have my camper on the back of the truck. Is there anything I should look for here at home before I offload the camper and load the Quad on the truck to take it to the dealer 70 km away. Sensors or Wires Etc? I've looked online for a schematic but cannot find.
Thanks,

You can try to spin the fan by hand ,...just to see if it is free moving...
Also you can un-plug the wires going to the fan and hook up 12 volts directly to see if the fan will run
This will tell you if the fan is the trouble or the signal going to it.......
If the fan runs with 12 volts directly to it.........My guess would be the ECM Black Box as this controls the temp. and the fan cut in/out.....Or bad wiring, temp sensor and or connection.....
Hope that helps a little bit....Caper.........
