I bought mine directly from the manufacturer in Utah.

I like that bumper/radiator protector, very slick. I wish I would have seen that before I purchased the Polaris front bumper.

Installed the Ricochet A Arm guards on the front today and also installed the new wheels & tires.

Unfortunately the rear A Arm guards didn't seem to have the right size clamps and the holes didn't seem to be in the correct spots. I'll have to see how Ricochet resolves this.

I guess I;ll welcome myself to your club! They sent me the wrong rears too. The fronts, part # 629AFA Polaris Sportsman, went on in no time at all. I spent an hour on the rears yesterday, part # 719ARA Polaris Sportsman 800 X2, before I figured they must be the wrong ones. How did they resolve your situation? Thanks!</end quote></div>

Thats the same part # that they sent me. We didn't spend much time on the rears other than to guesstimate where we would need to drill new holes and if we could use any of the hardware they supplied. I sent them an email today, I suggest you do the same so they are aware this is an issue for multiple customers.

I'll post how they plan to resolve it when I hear back from them.</end quote></div>

Any luck with this yet? None here.

Ricochet asked me to send pictures of the guards they shipped, which I did. They confirmed we received the correct A Arm guards for an X2. However, they have run into this problem before when Polaris decides to install the regular one up Sportsman A Arms.

He asked me to send a picture of the A Arms on our 08 X2 LE's to determine if we have the regular one up Sportsman A Arms, which I won't be able to do until this Monday.

I guess I am having trouble picturing in my head how that would be possible to have the regular sportsman a-arms, on an X2. The X2 has the rolled IRS with the shocks mouted to the rear of the a-arms, how would the sportsman a-arms even work on an X2, wouldn't the shock mounts be in the wrong place?

It sound like a bull$h!t excuse to me. I checked the Polaris parts catalog online and they're two completely different parts that don't look anything alike. The '08 X2 control arms ONLY fit <u>2008 X2s and Touring models</u> and the '08 Sportsman control arms will ONLY fit <u>2008 Sportsman 500s and 800s</u>. If they managed to somehow fit a regular Sportsman part on there I'd sure like to know how much Jerry-rigging they had to do.

That don't make sense. My clamps are way too small to fit around the top of the A arm. So, I have some X2 hardware that's too small for the "regular one up sportsman A Arms"? I would think the X2 would have beefier A arms. I wish somebody from Ricochet would have even taken a minute to call me this week after giving em my cell number on Monday. I don't doubt thier a good company as somebody has posted. These things happen. But,... I'm just glad Matthew from ATVOutfitters.net took time out to call me and Ricochet this afternoon. You were right in one of your previous posts, the clamps don't fit and the holes don't even line up.

It sounds to me like, if the apart numbers on the box are for the back of an X2, then somhow in the in the packaging process the wrong parts were put in the boxes. The only way I see that Polaris could have caused the problem would have been if Polaris had a design revision to the rear a-arm of the X2s for 08, and Ricochet was not aware of it.

I don't think Ricochet knows what the heck they're doing.

Those are 2 of 3 scenarios Matthew @ ATVOutfitter.net had laid out. I have bought lots of aftermarket parts. And understand these things happen. So I don't want to be totally slamming Ricochet. I could tell when I talked to them they were aware of my situation. I don't get thier communication practices. But I can live with that for a good product. I am 100% confident I will satisfied with Ricochet resolving this.
