Default This Outlaw needs help

If anyone has an Outlaw and thinks they can help me...Please I just got a new 07 Outlaw 525 IRS...My 1st. ATV?? I have only been out one time..Something happened to both of the back rims, on the inside like the a-arm joint?? put a grove in both sides? I have called Polaris and guess what they have never had this happen and think I got a rock in both of them at the same time?? I was on ebay and saw a set of rims for sale that had the same grove in them...he thinks maybe he got a rock in them...Someones has rocks for brains if they think that...Has anyone had this happen to them? or does anyone have a FIX? Can anyone tell me what I need to know about the outlaw? need to keep up on? Things that work? or does not work? I would love to get any info I can...Goood or Bad. Thanks Golly G from California.

This is very common. I race mine XC and have never had a problem.

That is a well known problem with the outlaw. I had it pretty bad on mine until I decided to grind the tabs off the A-Arms. If you have an angle grinder or dremel you can do it, its easy. Heres a link to picture. You can see the tabs and all you do is grind the tabs to be smoot with the A-Arm and its good to do. Wont weaken the A-Arm or anything. Hope this helps.

I have heard of this happening a lot, I checked mine out and only have minor scratches nothing to deep to worry about.
The new Honda TRX 700XX with the IRS has mudscrapers. I am not sure if this will help keep those rocks from gouging the rims. Here is the rebiew of the Honda IRS: http://www.atv.com/manufacture...700xx-review-729.html

One small feature Honda added to the bike that we really like is the removable mud scrapers on the rear rims. If you like to ride in the mud and dirt, the scrapers can help keep the rims a little cleaner and a lot lighter.
