Im new to the site but have recently purchased a 1993 Polaris 350L. I took it out today and noticed that after only a few min. of riding it, it stalls and wont start up again until you let it sit for awhile (15 min.) and then it will start right back up but only for a few min. again. Could this be the cdi box, The guy I bought it from (for cheap) said he had it into the shop 4 times to try and fix the problem. They cleaned the carb and put new plugs in but I heard from a guy that it was my cdi. Any thoughts? J

 

Take a compression check while cold.I bet it is under 100psi and needs a topend

 

The guy I bought it from just put a new head gasket on. I went and got a new cdi and I think that fixed it. I ran it tonight and havent had any problems yet. We'll wait and see tomorrow if its good to go. J

Yes is worked, mine shorted out because of a wiring problem, I picked up a ricks hot shot cdi from Denniskirk.com, it was on sale for $65. I guess I got lucky but you can type in polaris 350 L into ebay and come up with some used ones for around a hundred bucks J.
