Default Shifter travel

I have noticed that the shifter arm seems to be slipping or over traveling. When it goes into gear the shifter seems to keep moving. Is this just a bolt loose or something else. What do I ned to do to solve the problem other than stop pushing once it gos into gear.

Check nut on arm, tighten, if still loose splines on arm (belcrank) may be worn and need replacement. check linkage also for tightness.
