this might be kinda of and easy question, but I have had the original plug in my 97 Sportsman with over 1000 miles on it, it is still a decent plug, its gapped and doesnt fowl out at all. I havent been riding in like 3 months (which really sucks by the way) because of college, that and friends bail out on me with stupid reasons like, too cold or wet, not true riders. Anyway I will stop rambling and get to my original question. I am going to buy a new plug for this weekend to ride, and I was wondering if I would notice a significate power increase, remeber it has over 1000 miles on it. and are there any other cheep power upgrades, like a new plug, cause I am a cheap college student still paying for the quad. thats for all the help.....

Stick with the same Plug, meaning get the same one thats in it now. No plug out there is any better, we've had this discussion many times before.

I still say use the Champion PowerSport plugs. In my experience they are much better. Ride for five minutes with your origninal plug then put in the Powersport and see for yourself.

I see Meijer is carrying the Champion Powersports plugs, but they don't have a book there to know what plug number to buy. Do you know what plug number to buy for a Polaris 425 and a 325?

Sorry about the delay...You can use either of 2 spark plugs for that engine. Either use the 8902 or the 8904. The 8904 is a hotter plug which will burn more deposits. If you want to be a little conservative, though use the 8902.
