Default I feel violated

Just got back from the polaris dealer and i'm walking a little funny now. First time i've had to buy any oil and gear oil and was shocked at the prices on this stuff. Is there any other type of oil I can use besides the polaris brand.

The only thing you have to buy from Polaris is there front diff fluid for newer models or hub fluids for the older models . I find there pure Polaris motor oils cost more or less the same as any other full synthetic oils such as Amsoil.

It is high priced but I have found you are better off with the recomended fluids.Thank goodness you only change them once or twice a yr.

If you think you are walking a little funny now, wait till you have to replace some major part on your ATV because it didn't have the correct fluid in it. Save yourself some heartache and make sure that all the fluids other than gas that go into your ATV come in a blue bottle that says Polaris on it.

Was a lil tender also when I had my waterpump seal replaced. 85$ / HR labor. Total 150$ so 65 in parts, 2.85 / qt for coolant. OWWWWW!!!

As many years that we have been having problems with these seals would think that they would do it a better way but I guess it is a money maker for them.

290$ for a fan for my 800, got it online for 175 so did not hurt as much.

+1 on the Mobil 1 oil. I also use the Mobile 1 filter. Actually a little more expensive than OEM oil and filter (~$25/change). I feel like the synthetic filter media works a little better than paper media. M1-110 is the number.
