Wow, you mean someone uses something besides Polaris oil! I asked if there was a good substitute a few days ago and some folks around here acted like I was a dumb *** for asking. I don't mind spending the money for Polaris fluids but they are hard to get when you have a daylight till dark job sometimes 7 days a week it's kinda hard to get to the dealership. I have no doubt that their fluids are good but I'm hard pressed to believe that their fluids are the ONLY fluids that are worth a crap. I've never once heard a bad thing about Amsoil so what gives? Perhaps I was misunderstood or my question was taken wrong but I feel that there is an equal if not better than Polaris motor oil. I realize that whatever is used needs to be full synthetic of the proper grade but I know ther must be a more available quality oil out there somewhere.

Don't know who makes Po oil but sure they don't have their own refinery or facility.

Kinda what I was thinking. I'm looking at Klotz brand as we speak. The only problem I've seen is no one besides Polaris makes 2w50 the closest is 0w50.

0w50 would be a lil wider on viscosity and one would never know the differance. Klotz makes a good product as does Amsoil. I used Mobil on my last oil change yesterday, was on sale 4.99 a qt.

Yes they make what they call SnowX0w40, they market it as snowmobile oil.
