i had my polaris at the dealer said my recoil needed the plastic reel, while i took the old one off and replaced it witha a new one put everything back together, the recoil actually goes in and out great but doesnet seem to grab and turn the big fly wheel coming off the motor. does anyone know of a link or diagram for this my machine came without a manual...... i fixed the recoil on my little baja 250 but it seems different than my polaris- the baja had little dog leg steel pcs that when spun grabbed and turned the steel fly wheel commin off the motor.....

any help would be great tryin to save 80$ per hour from dealership

 

found my problem there is a steel tooth that fits on the pin on the plastic reel it aparently has diasapeared while at the dealer cause it was in there when i took it to the dealer, and now it is not there..... wonderful ill bet they will say it was in there.... this should be intresting.

 

you can go to polaris interchange and it will give you a parts view. hope this helps you.
