Why doesn't Polaris hook up the low beam side of the Pod bulb?

The H4 type bulb 60/55w used in the pod does not have a green wire going to the low beam side. This would greatly improve nighttime visability, without additional cost. Could someone, maybe from Polaris, explain why this bulb isn't used with the two 27w bulbs mounted lower on the Sportsman, et al? Will it overpower the current generated by the stator? This would be a simple modification, safer than running the two filaments in the pod at the same time.
