02 polaris magnum 500

The magnums are workhorses i have two 325s with 800 hours on one and 500 on the other.Iwill agree with the poster above, check the rear end .The magnum has a positive traction rear end .The shaft is steel the rear hubs are aluminum. Its designed that way so instead of wearing your shaft the hub will wear out first.Ive put two on my 02 about 100 bucks plus each. You can feel the play if its got wear.As far as the bearings im doing the 00 right now 2 outer bearings ,and new seals for the differential housing[because it has to come apart ]about 60 backs oem parts. If you find some play dont let it discourage you ,jew em down.Other than my tranny drowned once and i had to reseal it,the rear end is the only issue ive ever had, bought them both new.

On my 99 500 Mag I used the stock bumper with no problems, at first I thought it might give the airflow to the radiator some problems but 1500 miles later no problems at all. My mount mounted to the sides of the radiator where the 2 bolts to the front rack were and down.
