CV boot torn
remove lug nuts x4 and tire
1 axel nut and cover and remove hub
2- 9/16 bolts on the upper a-arm and 1- 9/16 sway bar bolt and bunge cord the upper a-arm up and out of the way
2- 9/16 lower a-arm bolts and remove the hub-knuckle ,remove the lower 9/16 shock bolt and lower a-arm will drop down
... should be able to pull out the axel and change that boot now..remember the c-clip that holds the cv on shaft as well, you will need snap-ring plyers for that.
i have done many popo boots,1/2 hr tops ,start to finish useing air..every once and awhile you will get a stuborn axel that dont want to come out of the case, but will.
then you put all pack the way it came apart, stand back ,have a beer and gloat to youself that you saved
a 100.00$

CV boot torn
ok, started workin on it yesterday and all been good but now i have the shaft out and the boot clamps off and the boot pulled back, but i cant get the cv joint to come off the shaft. and it is the inside joint, not the outside joint, so the joint not only bends, but also gets longer and shorter.

Let me just say that it makes me glad to see someone as young as you take the initiative to tackle something like this. My nephew is 16 and would rather play video games for hours and ride his skateboard around than learn anything about cars/atvs/anything outdoors. Good for you for not sitting in the house playing xbox while daddy takes care of your stuff so you can go out and beat on it.
You will have a much greater appreciation for things if you realize the work that goes into maintaining and building them. Good luck on you repairs.

Its good thing to know on any ATV because unless you buy nice aftermarket boot guards like "Stick Stopper" or something its common for CV boots to rip.
Cant tell from the pic but they also have a bottom A Arm plate the protects from underneath which stock CV guards do not do.
