Default Need some parts for an old 88 TB 250 R/ES

I need new suspension, but at dealer prices it is hardly worth it to fix up the old machine. Does anyone know where I can get struts and a shock for less than $110 each? It's not exactly in pristine shape, and when you throw $4-500 bucks at a $800-1000 machine it seems kinda like burning money.

The old gal is fun as hell to ride, and I don't want to give up on her yet, but I having trouble stickin that much cash into an old ride.

Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

At some point in time cheaper to walk away from than sinking too much into worn out machine. If handy can do own repair work, but still may have more into it than its worth, will have to drive forever to break even!. See em every day hauled into shop and advise customers pretty much what you've heard. Some repair, some dont, can end up being can of worms with other repairs needed! If you let a shop repair at TODAYS labor rates, can add up quickly. SOMETIMES best to treat em like an ex-girlfriend,Just REMEMBER the good times and move on! Good luck whichever course you choose!
