Default Starting problem-Any advice??

I also have a 03 600 twin and it did the same thing yours did. I have very little spark and sometimes none. The dealer was going to charge me $900 to replace the ignition system. Ignition kit was around $500 from the dealer. i am trying to find out where the cheapest place to get the kit, but also bought a repair manual to see if it is just one part of the kit. I will keep you posted.

Default Starting problem-Any advice??

Well, took it in to dealer this morning, Called me back an hour later and said my cdi box?? ignition box??? was bad. They plugged another one from another bike in and it started right up. $230.00 for part and 1.5 hrs. labor= around $330.00!!!! From everything I tested and all your advice/opinions, I figured it had to be electrical. anyhow will be ready later this week. Is that typical for those to just give out with no warning?? or do they start giving any clues at first?? Typical for a five year old bike/1420 mi.?? I guess that really isn't too bad being the first major problem I've ever had with this bike. Oh well, time to bend over. I'll be standing for awhile after thisLOL!!!! Thanks
