i have a 2008 trail boss 330. runs good for what it is. i have no complaints other than when it gets warm after an hour or so of riding it startes to whine. i cant narrow it down to whether its coming from the motor or the trans but i did change the oil and it still did it. havent changed the trans fluid yet. im gonna let the dealership do it soon anyways. im just before my first service with maybe 12 or 13 hours.havent riden it but twice since it started doin it. is this normal, or should i be a little concerned?

maybe clutch as well. if its still under warranty let dealer take a look at it and tell him it takes a while before it does it.

 

it doent run any different than it normally does when it starts whinning. i dont even know how to describe it becuase ive never heard it before. i was thinkin it could be the oil needing changed but i changed it and it wasnt the problem. i think of myself as somewhat mechanincally inclined but im stumped on this one. thinkin im gonna call tommorow and find out when i can get it in there

 

you need to narrow down the sesrch by seeing if it does it in all gears, stopped, moving.

 

yes it does it in forward, reverse, and sitting there idling. its not loud but you can definitly tell the whinning sound.

 

well then its the primary clucth or the engine i would guess.
