hi i need some help i have a 2003 polaris predator 500 and when i go to start it you can hear the starter just spinning and not engaging the flywheel what can i do to fix this? i have taken the starter out and it is not like a starter for a normal quad it does not have a Bendix attached to the end of the starter that kicks out, so i have no clue why it would not be engaging so that it why i am on here asking for all of your help, thanks you in advance

 

If its like the 500 Sportsmans and Scrambler it has a separate Bendix drive located behind the pull start recoil cover.

 

there is no pull start on the predator it is a sport atv

 

It still must have a cover for the fly wheel which the Bendix engages to start the ATV.
