REAR A ARM BOLTS
#21
I was camped at my buddy's place when I broke a (totally opposite) right rear bolt on my '06. He had a drill in his shed and I couldn't get the broken piece out with an easy-out, so I drilled it out. We went to town and I bought a one size bigger bolt, a tap for it, and two fender washers since the washers were kind of thin. I think I bought a new drill bit too. I don't know what the total cost was but it was cheap. Maybe $15.

i've had breaks on 2 of 4 machines. no breaks on my '99 which had grease zerks. no breaks on 08 because i just got it. other 2 both broke one. i added zerks to the lower outers on the 08 to see if that helps.

I had a whole left rear A-arm break in half once. That was a real surprise when I was hauling a$$ down the trail and the wheel flopped over sideways. Thank God the front end was good. I skidded to a stop without getting hurt. The grease zerk was defective so every time it got greased it really didn't. After so many years without grease it snapped in two.
