what to offer
The hours gauge does not light up so I dont know,it is my daughters and she thought it was some where around 200hrs.As far as i can see,it needs some wiring for the stator, something done on the starter,it wont turn over.the pull starter is broke.the front driveshaft from transfer case to front diff.will need replaced.the frame has some surface rust so a good cleaning. all the body parts are unbolted so it will need put back together,A new headlight and probably a new speedo
theres all the issues so how much will it cost to get all the parts i need? and how much should i offer? should i stay away from this? what parts do i need?

Locally(Turner) here in Maine we have a guy that has a 04 500 sportsman with 740miles that the right front strut&a-arm were ripped right off of machine and other then that & front rack/light, it starts right up, sounds excellent and all plastic is in excellent shape and he only wants 1000. so I wouldnt give more then a couple of hundred for it. i think at the 610 the bids at is already 400 too much. But thats me.

what to offer
oh and thats by repair by me/ a 12 year old. ill give it a shot if i get it and if i cant figure it out thats whats my dads for
heres another thing about it.
I am not sure on the transfer case,The original owner for some reason tack welded the front shaft onto the transfer shaft.it looks like it could be grinded off. I think the estimate that I had last time was around 300 to 500 depending on what couldbe saved.if you are asking if my daughter would take 1000, yes she is looking to get about that much. thank you.
why would the shaft be welded to the transfer case and should i stay away from this one?

A couple of guys I know tack welded theirs also and the reason was because they had a wobble & rattle to it that no matter what they did they couldn't get rid of it and it was not so much the wobble as the annoying rattle that accompanied it. They tacked it and never had another problem. I'd take a real good look at it because it could have been done for the same simple no mechanical problem reason.
