Default remote switch placement for a winch?

i,m almost done installing my viper winch on my 500 h.o.. i put the solonoid in the rear compartment like they recommended . my question is where should i put the plug for the remote switch.. i was thinking right inside the rear compartment on the top, where if you take of the seat you can get at it. i mean i will have to drill a hole and mount it, so you can get to it from the outside..if that makes sense to you.
any ideas??

I used a "hoppy" plug. Installed it right below the headlight pod, left side.

Forgot how to post pics...here's the link...http://s299.photobucket.com/al...w&current=P1010034.jpg

I put mine in the headlight pod. Left side. That way you can safely walk around the bike. I thought of putting it in front box but I have the kolpin fuel pack there and don't want to remove it or anything else on front rack.
