StitchZR2, here is the scoop from Rick at Nordahl. $5600 for a 2001 500 shift, not bad within $5 bucks! He is offering the the 2000 Warn Winch for $150 installed, so I'd bet money he'd give you the winch for $69 in the box. Or a 2yr extended warrenty for $100. He also has a used 2000 with 700 miles on it for $4600 it has brand new tires and rims on it. The guy that traded it kept his aftermarket tires. Its original owner is the owner of The Outdoorsman here in Pine City. He traded it in for the 2001 because they are 2wd-4wd selectable. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your help buddie. I think im going to try to get the dealerships down here to come down. I think they will. I thought of Nordal's because my uncle bought his 400 there and my uncle also works for rick when he needs help in the shop. Thanks for the help. I was up at are cabin this weekend doing some ice fishing on Cross Lake. The guy that has a cabin next to me said that, "It's illegal to run atvs on dirt roads in Pine Co. I thought that you could run on any road as long as your not racing. I do know that you can ride in the ditches of roads. But you would think you would be able to drive on the dirt roads without a problem. I heard that if you get an agecatural sticker the DNR is less likely to bug you.
Thnaks for your help

StitchZR2, the official word on gravel roads hear is you can legally travel on any township or minimal maintiniance road. BUT you can travel on the extreme right hand side of the road if the ditch is impassable. How many ditchs along the gravel roads in Pine county are free of ubstructions? You can travel on the extreme right side of any road or uncontroled access hwy. when there is no ditch or shoulder that is passable. You must however return to the ditch or shoulder within 100ft of the ditch becoming passable. If I'd have known you where on Cross Lake this afternoon I'd would have looked for you. I was out on the lake from about 12:30 till about 2:00 just riding around with my 4yr old.
