for anything else with bearings Ive pulled the part off the machine..

If you know a mechanic, they might have the right tools to do it on the machine

i just did one about 5 days ago. The best way to do it is to take the whole housing off. If you've got time soak in a petro base lub. I used kerosene. You can try to beat the race out with a chisel, but it will take forever. I CAREFULLY used a air chisel to get the old outside race out. You could use a press but I did't have one. Don't do like me and beat on it for an hour and then realize you didn't take out the c-clip. Save the old race to beat the new bearing in. You could also try to heat the housing with a torch, but the air chisel is so easy I don't know why you would. By the way, although the honda bearings come pre-packed, I still pack them with a high quality water proof grease. You can easily pack in at least one golf ball sized amount of grease into each bearing. Better to be safe... all you need is a 11/16, 5/8, ball jount seperator, hammer, needle nose(to remove cotter pins), a set of c-clip pliers or small needle nose, and a air chisel. Should take about 1.25 hrs per side. Good luck, hope I helped.
