[img]i/expressions/beer.gif[/img]Picked up my bike fom dealer this morning. They replaced the ignition controller/cdi box??? whatever the unit is the plug wires connect into?? Tech said that was the first '03 600 they've had to replace, lots of 5 and 700's though. I noticed my old one says "Made in Italy". What's the story on that? Anyway seems to run fine once again. $220 for part + $100 for labor/shop supp. + tax= $330.00. Should I have got a kiss with this?LOL I was told it was a dealer only item. whatever. Thanks for everyones help to figure it out.

 

DUCATI COIL PACKS SUCK! have replaced several. Used primarily 02-03 models,later ones have different set up! Good luck

Its a cdi/coil combo with words DUCATI and made in Italy on it. Have replaced several, BUT the good thing NONE have come back! They may have made some improvements? Hopefully you wont have any more trouble. Good luck
