Post something a little more constructive in the future.</end quote>

Well, that isn't very constructive. Maybe you could post something helpful in the future. Like how to not get a locked up ATV stolen when you only have it home a few days. Maybe together we all help each other with advice about how to protect our investments.</end quote>

Oops, I didn't notice the "Edited By Moderator" part. I've had my posts edted once or twice too, like my first day when I made a n00b mistake. Now I try harder to avoid conflict unless someone else starts some crap first. If it wasn't edited I would probably say something that gets me banned, or at at least gets edited. LOL at your sig Scooter. That's funny.

Well good for you JF at least there is some light at the end of that nightmare. I hope you get every penny PLUS back, its nice to hear that a INNOCENT VICTIM will get some type of decent restitution.

Wow, and also to ADD to MaineWheeler's points is that you have revealed some good info.
to us JF! I like all the info. on LO-JACK, I will look into myself especially since I can also save 20%
or something with my insurance. All good to hear, I hope you make out like a BANDIT. Come home with
that new 09 500 or Two-up or 800, LOL Eitherway, hope it all works out for the better!

Cheers,

R'

Thanks guys. Like it said on a T-shirt: I'm not completely worthless. I can always serve as a bad example.

I'm seriously thinking about not getting another ATV. I can get a garden tractor to plow snow with. I just have to build another shed to put it in. As long as no one thinks there's an ATV in the shed maybe it'll be okay. No fun allowed for me until after I move.

Ahhh, come on JF, you can't stop now. If you get all the funds with the insurance I would
encourage you to get another one dude! This time will be different I am sure, with you moving
and then going to build a shed and make all your security improvements. You only LIVE once, so
enjoy what you like to do, forget those who try to steal away that JOY! Get back on the saddle
again my friend, whats done is done and its all in the past! New adventures await you!

Cheers,

R'

Instead of depriving yourself of the enjoyment and advantages of having a ATV why don't you give some thought to getting a older one-maybe a 98-02- for the time being, just till you sell & move. Maybe they wont be so quick to steal it plus it'll give you a chance to lo-jack & maybe catch the bastards in a cheaper fashion then a 08/09 would cost. I don't know about where you live but around here if your not in a rush you can find one for roughly 2500-3500 with all the goodies&toys already installed, and a lot of the time-if you wait and look- they are elderly people or wives machines that are just not getting used & have low mileage/not beat on and they'd rather have it out of the way and the money in their pocket. Plus I would think with the way home heating oil prices are right now and winter on the way there will be even more of them on the market then normal so extra money can be had to pay the oil man. Its all just a thought.

JF, are you planning on moving, or is it just a thought for the future. If you are within the next year, I'd put the money back and maybe wait till you got to the new home.

Hate to hear of you thinking of giving it up entirely, but also can see how this is starting to wear on you.

I tried to get lo-jack on my bikes here in S. Louisiana but they wouldn't cause they are off road vehicles. Said they would not gaurantee it due to the mud, dirt, and shock it would go through. They woldn't even sell it to me. And I couldn't install it myself cause they have to install it for lojack to insure the vehicle.

Budman, I wouldn't show any pics of your license plates for the obvious. I know you

feel secure with Ol Bud, but it looks like he can be a little bribed with a nice rare piece

of meat, another thing the evil doers take inventory of, please LETS NOT make you

the NEXT VICTIM, our Polaris Forum wouldn't be able to handle it, LOL (But serious too)

Regards,

Thanks for the words of caution guys. I removed my pic. Now I have to work on the other websites where I posted pics.
I guess I don't have the evil doer mind. Just curious what someone would do on the internet vs seeing my license on the road. Look up my address?
And yes, Bud would gladly take that steak from you.
