the only way a Ruby out pulled an SP with a progressive weight sled is the driver knows how to pull which is extremely inmportant in sled pulling, if you don't know how to do it it won't matter what you drive. I have never seen anything that would go through mud and snow like a Polaris, not any other atv make. a full time 4 wheel drive will not be beat by a differential type 4x4 system. all 4 wheels pulling at the same time will be hard to beat. Honda is getting there. but they have a long way to go, before they start dethroning Polaris.

"Back in December I had over 30 inches of snow. I had no problems. Whatsoever. If someone is getting stuck they plain can't ride."

I have to disagree with you totally. I think if you're never getting stuck you should try taking your quad out of the garage.

When we go riding (99 Wolverine, 99 450ES, 01 Rubicon) we ALL get stuck, and we get stuck fairly often. The only person that doesn't get stuck is my friends father on his Rubicon, because he sits on the trail and watches as we blast our way up hills, though drifts, and basically anywhere where it looks like we might not make it through.

If you're not getting stuck (or wiping out) you're just not trying hard enough!!!!

"I would never own a quad that is full time 4X4 again. They're good for farm work, that's it. "

Yeah, I'll remember that the next time I'm out on my Wolverine...
I'm not having fun, I'm not having fun, I'm not having fun...
Maybe if I keep repeating it I'll somehow convince myself it's true.

The Rubicon has about the same power as a Magnum 500 and non H.O Sportsman and them short travel legs on that Rubicon are far from sporty. There are only 3 Utilities made that can break a true 60mph the Grizzly,Sportsman H.O and 400 Xplorer.
How much did you pay to get that wonder bike out the door?

Do you always base your facts with whats written on paper?Have you ever ridden a ruby?I have ridden many sportsman's.I paid 10800 out the door witch is cheaper then if I would of bought a ho with extended warranty, because lord knows I would need it.come for a ride up here with us we do not have any one with a polaris here because we all sold them. The ones that love them and say they are the best just fix them in there garage and put about 300 miles a year but do not want to come play with us.So why don't you come play with us and show us what a real machine is all about.

Tim1, your arguements about the cost seem irrelevant to me. They are the same price here. This seems like a Canada issue.

xepathfinder, I have to call you on this one. I am the one who one the progessive sled pull. It was the first time I have ever seen a progressive sled in real life (seen them on TV in monster truck shows). I was the first time I had ever pulled. The guys that I did beat had pulled before and actually gave me advice. Rider skill was not involved at all there. Sorry.

Here in the states a ruby runs about 200 bucks more than a sportsman.

Have you driven a ruby yet? Perhaps you should give it try before you shoot it down at every opportunity. At least I can offer some opinion on the sp500 as one is sitting in my garage.

And as far as a lot more power? Who are you trying to kid, I've driven them and raced them against non-ho's and 2001 ho's and there isn't much of a difference.

I think your just jealous because a ruby is probably worth more than your pathfinder!
