Carb Adjustment

1-1 1/2 turns starting point. REMEMBER air/fuel MAINLY for idle. Needle position, wear on needle, jetting, needle and seat should be checked also along with clean air filter.

TURN screw clockwise until LIGHTLY seated, turn out 1 turn initially.Crank engine, continue turning out SLOWLY UNTIL engine rpm drops or begins to run rough, turn back in,LISTEN to engine, rpm, stop at a GOOD idle. Should end up between 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 turns out. JUST takes a little practice. Good luck

Correct! JUST dont tighten screw down hard! Just turn clockwise till LIGHTLY seats, then turn out and try 1 turn out,can adjust while running, turn adj screw out from initial setting until engine rpm drops or runs rough, then turn back in till you get a good idle. Just takes a little practice. Good luck

Dont really recommend for the 250 piston port engine, cost will outweigh the benefits! GOOD engine, but not a firebreather even with mods. Can bring out a little more hp with aftermarket options that are available.

I noticed its not a screamer. Just want to get rid of the dead spot/spots in the throttle. It drives me crazy.
Guess I could get a rebuild kit for the factory carb and go that route.
Plus the TMX is actually cheaper than a new factory carb
