Default Dealer run around?

I just took both of my wheelers in because of malfunctioning gear indicators. I just got a phone call saying they where ready, problem is that I was told the rotory switches on both where just dirty and needed lubed and adjusted. Well I'm no mechanic but the switch they're talking about is sealed with NO adjustments at all?! Am I misunderstanding them or am I getting the usual run around?
The symptoms the switch where causing where wrong gear indicated, correct gear indicated after bad lag, or showing neutral no matter what. The showing neutral being the worse problem because it caused the 4wheel drive to not work properly.

You've never gotten the "run around"? What I'm asking is do you feel like from what I've explained that they have fixed the problem or just patched it to get me outta there.
I don't see how they can adjust and lube a sealed part leading me to believe that I'm getting the usual "run around". I'm getting ready to go pick them up right now so I'm hoping they'll be able to show me what lube and adjustment they've done. I hope that I misunderstood what he was saying but he was pretty clear on the fact that they took the switch apart to adjust and lube.....I think I'm being lied to!

Call another dealer and ask if that is possible.

I'm with you the rotary shift switch looks sealed to me. I looked at pictures of both sides and see no way to disassemble it,lookes hermetically sealed or welded plastic or whatever you want to call it. Unless maybe the center movable part isn't sealed and they sprayed cleaner and lube in there?? But there may be a way to disassemble it as I have never inspected one closely in person. I'd be suspicious too though. Looks like it would be easier just to replace it. Either way if the problem is gone it's gone. Maybe the guy you talked to doesn't know what he is talking about and they actually replaced the switch.

Yeah the switch is sealed. I just went and picked them up and guess what the red one is still acting up! These dealers **** me off to no end! They'll break their neck to make a sale but when it's time to back up the product they want to do crap like this. From what I can tell they just squirted the switch with some wd-40 and called it good. I just got off of the phone with them and I'll be taking it back in the morning when they'll show me exactly how they "lubed the gears" inside that little switch! After that they will install a new switch or I'll be calling polaris!

I honestly doubt Polaris will do anything, after reading some of the experiences posted on this site and the one time I called them.

But you might want to mention the Better Business Bureau too. Getting a bad rating from them could do more to them than a call (if it happens) from Polaris.

Good point, I hate doing stuff like that but I hate being treated this way too. We spent 14,000 dollars with these people and this is the type of service we get?
Anyway sorry for the rant and thanks for the input all.
