99 polaris 400 carburetion
I'm getting hesitation on initial takeoff. It actually sounds and feels like a miss in the plug, but the plug is new. Filter is clean.
The "Old Polaris Tech" advised me to replace the needle and seat, clean main jet, and small pilot jet. Sound advice.
Problem is that vendors do not use "seat" as a nomenclature.
Is the seat the "needle jet assembly?"
This happened to me earlier when I was trying to find the "bendix" for the starter. Bendix is not what they use.
Is there anything else I should order and replace when I have the carb off?
I appreciate your reponses

PROPER term is needle valve assembly! Sorry, just have called them that for years! "BENDIX" is starter drive gear! OLD HABITS hard to break! While carb torn down check that float pin is not worn down (large on both ends, smaller in the middle from wear on the float)) Best to replace float bowl gasket while at it since its 10 years old also. There is also a NEEDLE JET and JET needle. Needle jet in carb body and can wear from in and out motion of JET NEEDLE. ALSO if jet needle worn, replace! Look at PURE POLARIS PARTS and can browse through carb parts on your model. Hope I havent confused you more! Good luck
