Just bought a 02 SP500 RSE
Oops my bad I failed to mention I fixed the starter, It was the recoil starter got stuck so I took it apart. Only to find that the plastic piece inside had shredded and a couple of huge plastic pieces were caught in the gears. So I took the bendix gear out, made sure it was working properly and cleaned it out, lubed it up with some white lithium and put it back in. WORKS like a charm, perfect. So that is taken care of And thanks for the removal tip I appreciate that I will use that if I have to change it out.

I received my new belt and my bike runs and shift great now.
I am curious about the Polaris 3211069. That was the number that I took off my bike, but I had already ordered the 3211077 and it seems to fit. I called my local dealer twice to be sure I had the right belt and they agreed. Also, on the microfiche diagrams (those sites that show exploded diagrams with part numbers), referenced 3211077. However, when I google 3211077 it states non-ebs. I find discrepancies between the two belts regarding the year of the bike.
I compared the new 3211077 with my used 3211069 and it appears to be the same diameter, but the belt seems thicker than the old one. This might be due to use?
BTW; I bought my all thread at fastenal. You can find a location in your area here: http://www.fastenal.com

Bringing it back from the dead
I started the clutch repair like one year ago. I finally broke down and bought the clutch puller tool and the spider tool, I will post pics. Come to find out the fiber/composite material washer was completely destroyed and mangled and the brass washer was also grooved and deformed. I pretty sure that is going to be the problem and for the fix, I picked up new brass and fiber washers today at the local dealer.

Not trying to revive a post from the dead but...
I was able to fix that problem everyone was helping me with, I fixed it like 7 months ago but it ended up being the composite washer and the brass washer were distorted, shatter broken the whole nine. So once i replaced those two things the clutch problem dissappered. Now I have a new problem I think I have it solved. My starter wont engage and its VERYY corroded and rusted inside when I took it apart. But I have 12v going from the battery to the solenoid and I also have 12v going from the starter solenoid to the starter but the starter doesn't spin over, I already ordered a new starter but I wanted someone elses opinoin to see if my diagnosis was correct.
