Default Scrambler went for a swim

Basically I got stuck while in water and my atv stalled. I simply started it back up with no problems but then it stalled again. So obviously i tried starting it again but the battery is dead? I get winched out and pulled home and try to boost it but it wont quite fire up and there is no water coming out of the pipe while its turning over. Help?

Drain the air box.Take the carb off and apart to clean it good.Once you get it started change ALL the fluids.

I drained the oil and found it to be milky mixed with water. So i put in another quart twice and ran in it for a few seconds to drain it and find the oil pretty milky again

I added gas line antifreeze to the almost empty tank. The coolant is at the same level it was before so i figure its good to go. Also I once again drained and refilled the oil since my last post and its looking pretty good. I used Shell 5w-30 and planning on doing just one more oil and filter change. What oil would you recommend for a 500 scrambler?

Once you get it cleared up go with the factory 0w40 or Mobil1 0w40( I like the Polaris stuff)

kay thanks. I was planning on just using the factory oil. Although i do live in northern Ontario would 0w-40 still be a good choice?

The )w40 is for the reason that the oil is thin enough to get to the topend at startup.Polaris had a problem in the 90s with the 4strokes eating cams and this solved it.I would stay with it even up north.
