The only time in my life I had a drill bit bent, not break was 1 from Harbor Frieght. I would never buy anything I needed to depend on from them. I buy their cheap paint brushs when on sale and thats all. Like Stendori said you get what you pay for, for $67 what can you expect. Plastic gears!!

Harbor Freight can be hit and miss. Some of their stuff, in fact a great deal of it, is certifiable junk. I've bought some things that have been of surprisingly good quality. I bought one of their trailer to haul around behind my ATV and it's pretty nice. In fact, Swisher is selling it as their own now.
One thing changing is the quality of their hand tools. I've seen some of the "Pittsburgh" brand tools recently and they're not the same cheap Chinese crap we've come to expect. They're about in line with Stanley or something like that. I seen a set of sockets, wrenches and such purchased in a set and they were shockingly good. A guy up the road from me bought a set of their large wrenches to keep in the toolbox on his tractor and they seemed to be quite good quality too.
As for their winches, they're not cheap enough to bother with. If you add another 20 or 30 bucks to the price you can order one of those venom (or whatever they're called) winches from ebay. It will be better quality, come with a warranty and come with the specific mount for your ATV.

I live maybe 3 miles from a Harbor Freight and only go there once a year. Everything I see there looks disposable. I bought a ball for a trailer hitch from them because all I could find was a bunch of Chinese crap everywhere I went, and theirs was the cheapest price. A couple years ago I bought a tarp that turned out to be as thin as toilet paper. Before that I got some hacksaw blades that the teeth break off of. If I want to use your winch more than once or twice you're probably better off getting a different one.

if you want a inexpensive winch go to ebay and buy a gorilla winch. there alot better then most(not as good as warn) and for maybe $40.00 more you can get a mounting plate w/ the winch. imo.

thin as t.p.ha!i've been buying stuff little bit for 15 years.yes hit or miss.the impact sockets are cheap price+strong 1/2"+3/8" abused and never broke.i have a pair of electronic ear protectors that actually work well.you turn them on and you can hear anything better in the shop but if a loud noise happens they instantly silence your ears.everyone wants to use them.great conversation piece, fun for the whole family...........i bought a long frame floor jack, looked good, incredible price, they are about 5 to 8 hundred.end up picking up a third and still could not get it to work consistant.. for safety reasons return city.
