Default Carb won't drain

I am having problems starting my Magnum 325 4x4. I have a new spark plug, and the battery is good. I want to drain the fuel, but when I loosen the screw on the bottom of the float bowl, only a small amount comes out (much less than I would expect). I have the dial turned to "on", and the drain tube is clear. I think there may be sediment blocking the drain. Any suggestions? Thanks.

probably gonna have to take it apart and clean it, if you dont feel comfortable with a complete rebuild you could try taking the bowl off and looking around. you will need to come up with another gasket though.

Thanks. Can the bowl come off from below, or do I have to take the tank off? Is this the time to do anything else (needle valve etc)?

I've taken mine off before without taking the whole carb off(magnum 500) I dont know about yours. If you have the means to do a complete rebuild then I would just to have it out of the way.
