On longevity depends on previous owners maintenance and now on how you maintain machine! Critical thing on two strokes is keeping air filter and prefilter clean! Other than that just simple maintenance such as greasing at least every 50 hrs or sooner depending on riding conditions, and keeping chain adjusted and lubed. Change tranny fluid if looks dark, then once yearly! Others members should direct you on any mods or updates. Good luck.

might not hurt to do a compression check to see where its at. for good up grade to the power, contact RCR racing (rick ritter) for improvements. imo.

Don't let the hp numbers fool you. Its all in how you get it to the ground. Clutching clutching clutching!

Like the others stated do your maintanence and when compression gets a little low get a topend done( mine ussually last about 2-3 yrs hard ridding) RcR Stage 1 kit is a good starting point then when topend time comes get it ported.

+1 what everyone else said. #1 maintenance priority - keep air filter/prefilter clean. TB and other 2-smokes very unforgiving of dirt/dust IMO.
