Default 425 Magnum 1997

How hard is it to put a cam in one of these? My parts cam in today, hoping to start on it soon. thanks for the help. I did get a 500 HO cam, by the way.

Not hard,but have to remove thermostat cover to get access to left side cam cover to remove cam. HAVE ENGINE at top dead center before removing cam, with sprocket locating pin TOP CENTER of head. Remove cam chain adjuster,loosen and push adjuster all the way in before reinstalling. Make sure small spring on cam end installed right, allows small lever to move and spring back( this for exhaust detent for easier starting) Install new cam,align sprocket and chain on cam WITHOUT moving crank,tighten all parts,then install cam chain adjuster.Turn engine by recoil SLOWLY,adjuster will take up cam slack.
