Does anyone have any quick ways to pulling these shafts from the casing? i have been at it for an hour now trying the recommended short pulls to release the shaft from the gearcase, but no luck...maybe i do not have enough weight. Any help would be awesome.

Had another good one myself today also! Penetrating fluid,HEAT and someone to hold machine and use a pry bar while the BIGGEST guy jerked like crazy! Call your friends, usually helps! Good luck

Thanks...I have tried everyting else and still to no sucess. I can not beleive that stupid little lock clip can have that much holding force...If it wasnt the inside boot that was torn, i would just cut the old boot off and remove the clip and replace, but of course, a simple 30 minute fix will take me all freakin weekend. Someone else told me to use a log chain and snap it..tommorow could be intresting.

you wont beleave the holding ower of a little rust and grime/crap either on that little clip to hold it in there. put the BP blaster right to it and snap while prying(2 people) and it will come out still hard. becareful while prying as its only alum. all arounf=d and will break easy.
