What are the downsides to not washing it as often as you may want to. If you only wash it like every 3 rides and each ride is around 2 hours what could happen. Bad and good please.

 

keeping a clean machine allows you to give it a good once over before every ride so you can catch something that may be broken or loose or just plain missing. it also depends on what kind of riding you do. just regular trail riding it wouldnt hurt a thing not to wash it every time. if your into the mud that goes all the way to china then its usually a good idea to get the mud off asap. mud will hold it heat, clog radiator fins, make the bike 100lbs heavier etc etc.
