dont use gear oil in the tranny. there isnt enough heat in the tranny to get to thin out and get a good coat on all the gears and on the silent chain. use 10w30 or lighter in the tranny. use even lighter during the cold months. the tranny is seperated from the engine on these so it doesnt get any excessive heat.
