Polaris Ranger 6X6 Track Options
Our County Rescue Squad recently received a Polaris Ranger 6x6 through a grant from Polaris. (Thanks Polaris!)
We are looking in to the different options we have as far as putting tracks on the back 2 axles and maybe skis on the front so we can go in snow. We are located on the west shore of Lake Superior here in northern Minnesota so we get plenty of snow.
Does any one have experience with the different track systems and how they perform on snow? Do we need skis? I got lots of questions. If you have some good knowledge to share I be very thankful.
Thanks.

I am a member of the Search & Rescue here in Missoula Montana. Can you send me any information on how you obtained the grant from Polaris, like who you contacted etc. We also have a Ranger, I would like to know how the tracks work out. Please email any information to froines@yahoo.com. Thanks.

As soon as I typed that reply, I recalled that it was through U.S. Smokeless Tobacco. Here's the link.

Email me at tmlehr@msn.com and I will send you my phone number. I have the 800 with tracks. I also made a set of skis for the front. I can give you more info than I can type here.
