IF HAVE done all thats been mentioned by all members, then I would suspect compression low, needs to be at least 100 psi as mentioned! I'm running out of answers!

Hi old polaris I check my comp. it's cold engine test I got 125 psi bougth tester from princessauto don't know how accurate it is. I try starting it again by putting gas in to plug hole it pop and smoke coming out of pipe but no luck starting. what about the oil injector pump does it inject oil wild you crank the engine? maybe it's to much oil going to the engine. what about egnition coil how can you tel if it's getting bad. I got spark but maybe not strong enough to start it i just trying everything I can be for I send it to shop it cost arm & legs. anymore help gladly appreciate thanks.

Remove the crankcase drain plug(10mm head) on bottom of crankcase. Insert a small wire tie, or pick to make sure it isn't plugged and drain the crankcase. Maybe the needle valve is bad and it filled the crankcase with fuel. Check the recoil housing for fuel as well.

The recoil housing is the pull rope assembly. I've seen a lot of the older 250s fill the crankcases and fuel could get into the recoil as well. Are you sure you got the crankcase drained and not the starter(Some starters have a plug on them as well. The crankcase plug I was referring to is directly above the middle(well almost directly) of the skid plate on the bottom of the motor. It's at a slight angle forward, not pointing straight down.

I forgot this. I have seen in some cases where the recoil was full enough(of fuel) that if you pulled the pull rope out, it would be saturated with fuel. Check that too.

that was the firts thing I did is remove starter and to get the starter remove you have to take off stater rope cover(recoil housing) 3 bolt I thinkis holding starter inplace and the rest is the bolt on recoil housing. I remove the starter because I try to fix it's not working everytime I press start botton it just click and I'm gettting tired pulling the rope so I got starter going but not strong enough to fire up the engine.

This is all the list I did to get this thing going.
* put new gas
* new spark plug
* remove carb & clean
* remove starter
* remove recoil housing no gas but a bit in seal
* drain crank case 10mm under skid plate a bit grey or black color
* check comp 125 psi coldl test
* I remove exhaust 2 bolt from engine I got it to start but I turn it off because spark coming of exhaust port. put exhaust back and try it again no luck.
I got good comp I got spark but I dont know if getting enough gas. someone told me to use quick starter and spray it in carb.

Is the piston skirt shattered? And yes it can still have compression if the piston skirt is broken. Remove the carb and exhaust, look in at the piston and see if the piton is shattered. Cracked shirt?

I just re-read the last post and you said it would run with the exhaust off. Did you check it like eggenz said? Maybe it is plugged.
