Polaris sportsman x2 ignition cutout?

You don't need a code reader to get the codes.
1. Place the transmission in PARK. Stop the engine. Turn the key switch to the ON position.
2. The the key switch off and on three times in less than five seconds. The word "WAIt" will appear on the screen.
3. The Check Engine icon will blink once, pause, then blink twice(blink code 12) to begin the diagnostic sequence. The EFI module is now searching for blink codes. If a code exists, the Check Engine icon will flash the code.
4. Count the number of times the Check Engine icon flashes.
All the codes will be 2 didgits - a 42 would be 4 blinks followed closly by 2 blinks.
Let us know what codes you get an we can look them up.
Or if you would like I can email you the owners manual with all the codes.

Thanks, Highoctane,
I meant "excuse me" literally rather than sarcastically in my earlier post.
Thanks again for the info. I will post the result of the codes next week. They have some other things for me to do before I can get back to the atvs.

Hi ya'll,
It seems that disconnecting the connections around the EFI (and other connections nearby) and then reconnecting solved the problem.
I am never satiisfied when something works when I do not understand "why it works".
Please someone, tell me what I did that made this work. Of the 4 connections that I separeted, none had moisture, and only one had what I would call "fluff.
Hey TECHS,
I APPRECIATE YOU.
IGNORE THE IGNORANT AND PLEASE POST!!!!!!!!!

Apparently there was something wrong with one of the electrical connections below the seat. I saw nothing when I disassembled but I blew them out with compressed air and reassembled (I did not have any dialectric with me).
After reconnecting, It has run great since.
