ATV insurance

At present, I don't have insurance on my quads, and I don't know who to go with. Is anyone familiar with Polaris insurance? I looked at it on their website, but...don't know much else. Any tips and/or suggestions would be helpful.

I went with geico for my quad insurace since i already had my vehicle coverage with them. They have a pretty good rates. You don't have to have other coverages with them in order to get quad insurance. I was thinking about going with american family but they wouldn't give me quad insurance unless i had vehicle insurance with them as well. So call around and get different quotes.

WHOMEVER you go with not the problem!! Just get it!! In our area have had at least 8 machines reported to us that have been stolen since September. We have the serial numbers in hopes of maybe running across one,BUT could be heading to Mexico, chopped up or whatever! Not a good feeling for the owners!

i really dont know how this works, but i was told by my insurance agent that if it hada plow attachment and was stolen from the yard it would be covered thru the house insurance the same as a snowblower or lawnmower. doesnt cover the liabilities but would for it being stolen from the yard atleast

Hmmm - never thought of that - kinda makes sense though. I bought my ATV insurance from Progressive for $75/yr. I thought that was reasonable for the piece of mind it offers.

You should get a discount if you are a home owner. I had to provide proof to get my rate. I went with Dairyland.

I got the Progressive insurance. Much cheaper than the Polaris insurance for the same coverage.
I agree with the others. Get the insurance NOW. Don't forget to keep all your receipts for any "mods/accesories". If you can, take a picture of your quads with all the accessories and mods on them for insurance purposes. Between the pictures and the receipts, you will be able to get back some of the extra money that you sink in the quad.
