anyone know the differences between 2000 and 2001 325 cranks. they have different numbers.

 

I along with several other area dealers had a few failures on the early 2000 325 motors. Rod plain bearings mainly would seize and destroy cranks. Replacement bearings and crankshafts were strengthened (I was told this by a Polaris engineer) and also told of gas contamination causing problems,BUT on the ones I replaced,I found no gas in the oil or dirty oil failures,but dont know about the other dealers machines!
