Default tire rubbing tie rod ends

has anyone heard of, or tried putting the outter tie rod ends from the top to the bottom on the strut. I tried it on my 08 800 with 27" XTR's mounted on the stock alloy wheels and had plenty of clearance.

I wouldn't recommend it - somethings going to break, good luck!

I have heard several people on this forum who have done that instead of upgraded offset wheels or wheel spacers. I admit, like deerwagon, I was leary of changing the geometry and went with spacers. However, I have not heard of anyone having problems by moving the tie rod ends. So, I guess if you want a free fix then try it out. Anything can be fixed and it's only money! LOL!

It will not cause a problem. I've read where Polaris even recommends it as a solution for tires rubbing the tie rod ends.
