I ordered a new Glacier 2 plow from Breese Lawn and Garden today. I went thru their e-bay store, $402.00 delivered. (10% off using PayPAl). I have never used an ATV snow plow and can't wait to try. With my luck, I just assured So. Illinois won't get any snow for several years. [img][/img]</end quote></div>
What width blade did you order?

My new plow was delivered at 8:50 am today. I ordered it at 8:12 am Yesterday. 24 hour delivery!!!! I live 100 miles from Breese, but one day service is still awesome. Can't wait to get home and install it. I also have Amsteel rope on the way for my winch.

I just ordered up the Moose RM3 setup myself yesterday. It should be here next week. Now I just need my winch to come in from cheapcycleparts and I'll be just about set. I've got the rack extensions front and rear, I'll have the winch on as soon as it gets here and the plow is on its way too. The only thing left for me to pickup is the brush guard that I want for the front. Thanks to all for their advice and support.</end quote></div>
Congrats!
What gauge blade did you order?</end quote></div>
I'm not certain which gauge blade, but it's a 60" standard style blade, not the county style blade. I think I'll be happy with it. Actually, I just got my winch 2 days ago and installed it today on my extra day off. The plow should really be a snap to install. I just need the snow to hold off a little bit longer until I get my plow ready. I'll have to post some pictures of the setup when I get it. Thanks again to all for the help.

Rancher55 what width is that blade?
I had that blade on my 800 when I first got the quad.
I found it wasn't wide enough to keep snow out from under the wheels especially when it was angled.
I changed mine for a 60" glacier 2 razor blade. It is very nice, but also it doesn't seem to raise the edge as high as the narrower blade. Might be just a perception but when I went back for a change they definitely swapped the entire plow package. I only kept the mount.
I like the G2 razor blade a lot better, pushed a ton of deep snow and never had it spillin over the top or out under the wheels.
No snow yet (Soon) but I need to do some scraping and roll a compost pile before winter snow. I'll put my blade on and takes some pics if I remember.
Later this weekend.</end quote></div>
Hey BigBros_FarmToys,
It is only a 48" plow blade. I'm thinking of trading it in for a 60" blade.
The 48" was a gift so I did'nt want to complain about it but I think it's too narrow too!
Take care![img][/img]</end quote></div>
I just talked to the dealer today and he said they would trade the 48" plow for the 60" plow and the price difference would be $30- $40 dollars. So I'm taking the 48" in tomorrow and get the other one! I should be set then and except for a few minor items READY FOR WINTER!

That is a good deal Rancher55. You are in similar climate to me here in Eastern Or.
You'll appreciate having that little extra width. I know the 60" blade was a no brainer after I had run the 48" for a day.
Funny thing was, while I was in there exchanging my Blade(no charge) the neighbor from up over the hill was investigating a Blade for his ATV as well. I told him what I had found out and since he was on the same hillside I knew he would have the same problem. He opted for the 48" blade I had just brought back, then went back and paid the diff for the 60" blade two days later.
I also had looked at a blade I think it was moose or cycle country the split in the middle to make a wedge but would also go Straight for Angled plowing. If I had more than 30" of snow regularly I would have most likely went with that one as it lets you split the snow first for that initial cut and then go back making it wider and wider.
Enjoy.

BigBros_Farmtoys,
Now all I really need is some of those sissy grips! (hot grips) lol!
Happy plowing![img][/img]</end quote></div>
LOL!!
BTW, I looked at your plow pics and noticed one thing you will REALLY like. Order yourself the upper rubber deflector. It will give you an additional 4-5" of plow blade height!
I find it VERY helpful!
