Default Gas in my Crankcase

I need help. I have a 95 300 2X4. Had gas in crankcase. I drained it, drained all of the gas from the carb and put in a new spark plug. With a little starting fluid, it cranked. Well, it has gas in the crankcase again. I could do what I did a few weeks ago but it looks like it will just do it again. Any suggestions?

Shut off your gas valve when you are not riding it, gas will leak into the motor and go past the rings and into the crankcase.

your float/needle valve is bad. it has either gotten wore or has a peice of dirt in it causing it not to seal off properly. float bowl gets fuel so it compes up through the mainjet and down into the cylinder which then leaks past the rings into the cylinder.

Default Gas in my Crankcase

Hey FoxTrot, I have the 95 300 4x4 and have the same problem with gas in the crankcase. Is there a drain plug to drain the case? If so where is it located?
Thanks in advance.

Default Gas in my Crankcase

Hey Fox Trot,
Going thru same thing here on my 99 sportsman my float is having a prob of flooding (working on it), but mine I know is the carb overflow.. it was dripping thru the overflow tube so I crimped it shut, causing all the gas to go into the crankcase (big mistake)
My oil is like black gas I guess I will change filter and oil get it running then change again .. oil like that???
Good luck,
Twinmaker
