Default Exhaust snorkel

Hello all, I am wanting to install a snorkel on my exhaust and I was wondering how some of you were doing it. I know that I am going to get alot of comments about the fact that I don't need one but I have two atvs and neither wants to idle underwater. I have a crappy bolt on snorkel on it now and I can sit in the water all day but I want a more stable one. How are you doing yalls?

Hope no one minds if I bump this back up top. I was wondering the same thing. My 500 has stalled out in the water before and I would like a bolt on type of exhaust snorkel.

Also I have been reading on some forums that if your exhaust has a drop down elbow like my 500 sportsman has that you will be fine without a snorkel. Can someone explain the reasoning behind that statement?

Good question. I never worried about it, but I'd like to know as well. Anyone?

I just took mine to the muffler shop and they added on from the factory down spout up to above the ammo boxes that I have and I added a tractor pipe top.(the flappy thing that goes ting ting ting on idle) It cost me about 40 dollars but the wifes cost about 50 because she had to have a chrome tip.

atv gooroo, Did it change the sound much. I hear it makes it louder. I try not to be a pain in the *** when the quad trails track in near peoples houses.
