Default Heated grips on my 500X2

I ordered some heated grips for my X2. I love em. Took an air blower and blew the old grips off, smeared a little silicon on the bars and slid on the new grips. They're bigger which makes it easier on my hands, and love that heat.

I put the controller on my headlight housing so that everything is internal. Really looks nice and work nice. Hot is to hot, but heats them up in a hurry and then down to low. Might need hot if it is freezing out though.

Nice. I've been thinking about getting some of those too since I plan on plowing my whole neighborhood this winter!

I have the grips and the thum warmer on my 500 tourring and also the heated grips for the wrap around trunk in back for my wife and she loves them to. cause it gets cold up here in Canada, now if they could just have feet warmers it would be great.

I bought some of those feet warmers at Wal Mart yesterday, and I have to admit I was impressed. $1.97 for a package of six. I tested one last night and it stayed warm, and I mean nice and warm for about seven hours. I think one of those in each boot will really make a difference.

The reason the High setting is too Hot is they are the same type use on snowmobiles. Since everyone who rides sleds where heavy snowmobile mitts/gloves they have to get real hot just to get through the mitts because they act like oven mitts.

I use Pipe wrap and an Old coleman whitegas heater while riding, Then I wrap the handlebars with home Insulation, I used some HVAC venting to vent the heat from the heater to the grips and then i cut some big holes in the vent Material right where the grips are and wala ! warm hands and forearms.
